Announcement of Dr. Maria O. Cottman as Global Ambassador
Harvest Christian University is honored to proudly announce the distinguished appointment of Dr. Cottman as Global Ambassador, a role through which she will oversee Children’s Affairs as well as serve and support Parents and Families in alignment with the university’s mission. Dr. Cottman’s appointment honors her remarkable legacy as a former Ambassador of the African Diaspora Union here in the United States, bringing her deep experience and unwavering commitment to advocacy, leadership, and family empowerment.
With over two decades of dedicated service in family and children’s welfare, Dr. Cottman is the founder and CEO of Cottman Charities & Enterprises Incorporated, a faith-based nonprofit organization renowned for its impactful outreach to children, families, the homeless, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Under her visionary leadership, her charity has provided shelter, therapy, education, and transitional housing, earning distinguished recognition and awards for its transformative community service.
Dr. Cottman’s tenure as Ambassador for the African Diaspora Union exemplifies her global perspective and deep engagement with the African and African-American communities, further enhancing her ability to represent and advocate for children and families on a worldwide stage.
